When we gather into the community, into the Christian community – something wonderful and miraculous happens – we are drawn by God’s love and power into sacred place where Christ is at work. Without faith, without the community of believers, we will struggle with the terrible things that happen in our world, in our families. Paul, who wrote letters to the earliest worshiping Christian communities, uses a powerful image to illustrate this; we are like clay jars, common clay pots (2 Cor. 4:7). Our lives are so fragile and all we have is the power of God within us.
for any cancellations
Our policy is if the snow emergency plan is in effect one hour before any service – the service is cancelled. (you can go to CHART.MD.GOV website – click on traffic advisories)
For example. If the snow emergency plan is in effect at 7:30 a.m. then there is no 8:30 service. If it’s in effect at 10a.m. then there is no 11 a.m. service. Same holds true for evening services or special church events during the winter months.
Please note: If the 8:30 am service is canceled due to inclement weather, Sunday School is canceled.
